Update on the boys....

KADE

Kade turned the big 5 on Halloween this year. He was so excited to be turning 5. Of course his birthday was amazing! What kid wouln't love getting presents and a whole bag full of candy for his birthday. He really liked his presents everyone gave him this year too!! One of his favorites was his new bike. He was finally ready and not scared of riding a bike. Now we can go for much longer walks :)

*Kade loves to watch Scooby Doo.
*He likes his preschool class and is starting to sound out words. He knows all of his ABC's and his numbers 1-10. We are still working on 11-20.
*He is still really calm and patient....most of the time.
*He is a really good helper, but sometimes I have to act like I am going to take something away for him to help.
*He is an incredible big brother. Most of the time he is being really nice and sharing his toys with his little brothers. He is usually the peacemaker.
*He loves to go watch movies at the theatre with Daddy....They went to see "Puss n Boots" the night Twilight was premeiring. A lady asked Eric if he was taking Kade to see it. Yeah right!!
*He loves to eat mac n cheese, pizza, and chicken nuggets.
*He is in the 50-60% for heigth, 10% for weight and his head is 50%.

KYLE

Kyle will be turning 3 in just a little over two weeks. He is the dramatic one of the boys. When he is tired and doesn't get his way he can throw a really big fit. A couple months ago he started talking really well. You can have a conversation with him now and most of the time understand what he is saying. When I can't understand what he is saying he gets really upset until I know what he is saying. He thinks all colors are either blue or orange (ironic since Boise State are those colors). He knows hearts, stars and circles (most of the time). He can count to three by himself. Ever since Halloween he is terrified of going to time out in the downstairs bathroom. Eric told him there was a monster behind the curtain. Because of this I can usually get him to do what I want him to do by telling him he is going to go to timeout. He looks up at me and says "with monster?" I tell him yes. He will usually stop what he is doing or do what I asked him to, but unfortunately I have had to put him in there a couple of times. I am such a mean mom. Kyle has a harder time helping me clean up, out his clothes away, etc. I think it is because he has a little bit of stubbornness in him. However, he is really starting to calm down (if you know him you know what I mean).  He looks up to Kade and tries really hard to be nice to Connor. In January he moves up to Sunbeams at church. It will probably be so much fun for Kade to have Kyle in primary with him. I am afraid Kyle might have inherited my short genes. He is in the 40% for heigth, 10% weight and his head is 50%.

CONNOR

Connor is basically taking Kyle's place. He is constantly making messes, drawing on walls or getting into mischief. If the water in the fridge is not locked he will fill up a glass and, instead of drinking the water, he will spill it all over the floor. At his last well check he was in the 75% for heigth. The other two better be nice because he might be bigger than both of them. He is really starting to say lots of words. I don't remember the other two talking this early like he does. I LOVE it when he says Halloween. It is soooo cute! His smile and his big blue eyes melt my heart. It is hard to stay mad at him for long. Recently before he goes to bed we sit on a chair in the guest bedroom. We will sit on it until he falls asleep in my arms. Something I am so glad he lets me do because I missed being able to rock him to sleep when he was really little. Mostly because I was having to run after the other two so they wouldn't wake him up. He is a good helper. He will put stuff in the garbage when you ask him to. After breakfast, most of the time without me asking, he will put his bowl and spoon in the sink. He will put his clothes away after I fold them. Sometimes though I will find them on the floor, but at least he is getting them close and understands the idea. Conno is in the 75% for heigth, 10% weight and his head is 50%. The other two better be nice to him because he might just be the tallest and biggest one!

Sometimes I worry that the boys are too close in age, but than I watch them play with each other, either at home or at the park, and I am glad they are close. They have instant friends and, hopefully, will watch out for each other. I hope they will always remain close and be each others best friends. I am grateful to be their mom! I am grateful Eric works hard and is able to support all of us while I stay at home with them. I think the boys are grateful for that too. I told them one day I was going to go to work and they could go to a babysitter's. They didn't like that idea. They started to behave a little better :)

We are excited for Thanksgiving, Kyle's birthday and Christmas to come! We can't wait to see every one.

Halloween!!!

Halloween was fantastic this year!!! We had so much fun all weekend long. Here are some before pictures of the boys in their costumes. Kade and Kyle were knights and Connor was the "viscious" dragon.

One day after preschool I tried to get a good Halloween picture of the boys. They all looked so cute in their Jack O' Lantern shirts. Here is the best shot.

Kade painted a pumpkin at preschool. Here he is holding his masterpiece.

More to come....

Update....

We apologize to anyone that reads our blog. The last couple of months have been crazy. I can't find my charger to my camera and I have finally figured out how to upload pictures from my phone. Hopefully, I will start to be more consistant. There are so many things I want to remember about the boys growing up and this seems to be the one place I can keep track of all of it. I will be updating over the next couple of weeks.

During the summer we liked to go over to J.W. Marriott and swim in their pool. This pool makes you feel like you are not even in Las Vegas. Eric would swim around with all three boys hanging on him. What a great daddy!! Here are some of my favorite pictures from our outings.

Kade looking handsome while Connor gets one on one time.

I love all four of my handsome boys!!!!

During the week when we didn't have a car we would walk over to the little park in our development. The boys loved to get out of the house, take Chloe for a walk and play on the jungle gym.

One day Kade was pouting about something so I decided to take a picture.

I guess he didnt want to take a picture pouting so he decided to smile.

Our Exchange Student!!

I need to write this down before I forget it....On Sunday night we went to the airport to pick up Tristan, our exchange student from Germany. His plane was suppose to arrive at 6:55 p.m. and then he had to go through customs which could take an hour. We left our house at 6:45 thinking that it wouldn't take us that long to get to the airport.

At about 7-7:10 we arrive at the airport. We go to terminal 1. We have never picked up anyone at Terminal 2. When we walk in we talk to the man at the information desk. We find out that British Airways is indeed at Terminal 2. He tells us it will be a 5 minute walk. We think that would take longer especially with Kade and Kyle walking. Somebody else tells us that we could ride the shuttle over there. When we find the shuttle waiting spot we are told the shuttle might not come for another 20 minutes. So, we decide to walk back to our car, load the boys up and head for terminal 2.

As we arrive at Terminal 2 we can't find the parking spot, so Kade and I jump out. We walk into a building labeled "Arrivals". When I walk in there is nobody there but an airport worker. She tells me I need to go to the customs building next door. Kade and I walk really fast over to the next building. We start looking around. There are a lot of people and the lights aren't that bright. My sight is horrible in dim light. We walk around frantically trying to find Tristan. I am upset I didn't have my sign the boys and I painted with Tristan's name on it. As I am looking around I finally spot a young guy that looks like Tristan. I walk up to him and ask him if he is Tristan. Sure enough it is him. Since he is "underage" we have to sign for him, but the only person that could sign for him is Eric. He was still trying to find a spot. I didn't know where he was, so we walk outside to wait for him.

Kade and I are looking to see if our car passes by. We don't see it. A few minutes go by. I start thinking I am hearing Kyle's voice. I look over and little Kyle is trying to walk as fast as he possibly can. Eric is carrying our sign we made and Connor, who is holding one of the balloons. At last we are all together and we can take Tristan home. Eric signs all the papers and we walk to the car. We all get in and head home. We figure Tristan is hungry so what do we get for him? McDonalds, of course. We finally arrive home. We show him the house and his room. When he comes back downstairs to eat his yummy, delicious home cooked meal (sarcasm) he gives us all a gift. How nice was that!! The boys loved their presents and I cannot wait to have some real German chocolate and homemade jam his mom made. Because of all the mix ups I completely forgot to take pictures and still have not taken one picture. I need to get on that.

We are super excited to have Tristan here! The boys are already treating him like he is part of the family. They make sure they are constantly around him and absolutely do not hide their true feelings. We are sure Tristan will be excited, even more, to go to school so he doesn't have to listen to screaming, fighting and crying. However, he is really good with them.

Our first day was kind of crazy with trying to fill out paper work, get him registered for school and everything else. We went to the store to buy school supplies and get some groceries. Kyle was running around everywhere and almost getting hit by carts. It was crazy!! We did get most of the shopping done. On the other hand, we were able to end the day at my mom's. Tristan and the boys went swimming and we had a delicious dinner outside.

Tristan we are glad you here!!! We are sorry we were late picking you up and we really hope the boys aren't bugging you too much!

***I will make sure I take some pictures and post them on here.

4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July this year, especially since Eric was in town (last year he was in London). Nana and Papa came to visit from Boise. They arrived on Friday and stayed until Tuesday morning. After they arrived at our house we just chilled out until Eric got home. Then we had some yummy lasagna dinner. We tried going to the park but it was really hot. Saturday morning we packed up and headed to the JW Marriott where Nana and Papa stayed the night. We had a really great time at the pool, especially since it was so hot.

Connor is fearless when it comes to the water. He will jump right in. He was also saying hi to a lot of the people passing by. He especially loved the teenage kids that started talking to him.

Enjoying some cheetos puffs.

Kyle is not as fearless, but he still loves to be in the water.

Drying off.

Trying to pose for a picture.

I was asking him to hold still, but instead he came right up to the camera. Silly boy!

Kade use to be terrified of getting into the water. He really likes the water now.

Kyle and Connor wanting to get into the water.

Kade crying because he was told not to do something we thought was dangerous. I told him I was taking pictures.

Connor is looking at him wondering if he is ok.

Now he is just pouting :(

Kade, Papa and daddy relaxing adter a lot of swimming.

This is how the boys like to swim. Eric will hold Kyle and Connor and Kade will jump on his back and hang on. They loved it!!

That night Nana and Papa went to see Phantom of the Opera while we went to the buffet and watched movies in the hotel room. Connor was so exhausted from the day he fell asleep while we were at the buffet.

The next day after I got done at church we went back over the the Marriott and swam some more. Afterwards we came home and lit some fireworks.

Kyle watching the fireworks.

Kyle running away from them.

Connor ended up having to sit in the stroller because he kept getting too close. He really wanted to get out.

On the 4th of July the boys, except Connor, went hiking up at Red Rock. When they got home Kyle and Connor took a little nap. When they woke up we went to the Red Rock Hotel/Casino to go bowling. When we were down we headed over to Eric's uncle Larry's house for dinner and more fireworks.

This was Kade's first time bowling.

He soon got tired of it and went to play with Kyle.

Watching the fireworks at Larry's airplane "hanger". They thought that was really fun.

This is what Connor was doing for part of the fireworks. But then a really loud one went off and woke him up. He soon up walking all over the place.

There was an executive jet we got to sit in. It was really nice! There was leather seats and cup holders. The boys liked it! I wanted to snap a picture of the boys by the airplane. Here is Kyle.

I kept asking him to stand by the airplane. He kept saying "right here" and then move "right here?" He kept doing this until he was right up by me. I think he looks very adorable and trying so hard to be a good boy!!!

Kade by the airplane. Don't you like how he is standing?!?!

Here is our attempt at a "4th of July" family picture. Would have worked if Kyle wasn't throwing a fit.

Papa reading stories to the boys.

Random picture.

Nana and Papa's attempt to get a good picture with the boys.

Thansk for coming and visiting us Papa and Nana!! We had a lot of fun and look forward to seeing you again!!!
