Disney on Ice

Last Saturday we went to Disney on Ice. We had a great time even though we left just a little early. Both of the boys were well behaved, but started to get antsy towards the end.Cars, of course, was the favorite with Kade.

Kade before the show started.

The boys were really excited for the show to start!!

Kade picked out a sword for his souvenir and
Kyle got a Mickey Mouse twirly, glow thingy.

Sledding at Mount Charleston

On the Saturday before Joe and Becky went back to New Haven, we thought it would be fun to go sledding. We made sure the boys had all of their warm clothes and headed off to the mountain. When we got there it was FREEZING! I don't know how much fun Kyle had, but Kade had a blast going down the hill with daddy, Unlce Joe, and Aunt Becky. Unfortunately I missed out on the sledding part. My mom and Bryan pulled Kyle around in a sled. Luckily, my mom brought hot chocolate. That warmed us up. After we were done we went to the Lodge and had a delicious dinner. We had a great time spending time with family!!

Here is my handsome husband posing for the camera. Kyle happy, but freezing. And Kade trying to warm up in the car after we were done.

Kyle's First Haircut

Last week I looked at Kade and decided it was time for him to have a haircut. Kyle started to need just a trim. On Saturday morning I loaded up both the boys and off to Cool Cuts we went.

Kade is starting to be a pro at letting people cut his hair. Little Kyle, on the other hand, had a hard time at first. He sat in this cute yellow car and a video was playing. The hair stylist put the blue cover on him. Right after Kyle started crying and reaching for me. He was trying to stand up. I frantically started to look around to see what I could give him. I noticed the blow dryer. I asked the hair stylist if he could hold it. Sure enough, Kyle was absolutely fine once he could hold the blow dryer. I don't know why, but this kid loves blow dryer's and vacuum's. If it is taken away from him he starts screaming until he gets it back. Thanks goodness she let him hold it. Kyle was also able to see big brother Kade getting his haircut.

After they were done they chose a lollipop and played with the toys. Both the boys looked abolutely handsome!!! For those of you wondering...no we did not cut Kyle's adorable curls off. He just got a trim.

Christmas/New Year's in Las Vegas

Since we were in Boise for Christmas we celebrated Christmas with my family on New Year's Eve. Soon after arriving Kade started asking if he could open his presents. We were planning on going to Opportunity Village to see all the lights. While we waiting for Jeff to get there Grandma let Kade and Kyle open their presents. Kyle was not too interested in opening presents still, but he was sure interested in the choo choo train going around and around under the Christmas tree.

The most exciting present they opened was the dinosaur. It roars, eats, walks, and plays music. Kyle was not afraid of it at all. He kept sticking his hands in its mouth.

After we were all done we went to Opportunity Village. There were tons of lights for the boys to look at. Kade had fun going down a big slide with Aunt Becky and Uncle Joe and Kyle had a blast riding down a small slide with Uncle Jeff. I think everything was too exciting for Kyle because he decided to fall asleep in his stroller. The weather was pretty good too. It wasn't absolutely freezing.

Afterwards, we went back to my mom's house and had dinner. Becky and Joe made some delicious fettucine alfredo. We didn't think the boys would quite make it to midnight, but they almost did. All the people playing with them kept them on the go. However, they only made it to about 11:30. On the way home they fell asleep. They must have been exhausted because I was able to change them into their pj's without them waking up.  Overall, we had a really great time! We hope everyone, friends and family, had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We look forward to next year when we will have three little guys walking around!!!

Christmas in Boise

This year for Christmas we flew up to Boise and stayed there for about almost a week. Other than the plane flights, we had a great time. We were able to visit with all of our Idaho relatives. On the plane trip there we arrived to the Las Vegas airport three hours early. Only to find out we didn't need to. We walked right up to skycap and through security. It was probably the easiest time we have had getting through the airport. Thanks to Uncle Jeff for driving us there and watching Chloe. By the time the plane was there, the boys were extremely tired of being there, especially Kyle. On the plane he cried for the first 20 minutes. It was not very fun! Finally both of the boys fell asleep. We were very grateful to get to Boise even though it was freezing.

On Christmas Eve we went over to Aunt Sue's house. She always has Santa come over. Kade was very excited to see Santa again. Kyle just looked at him like "Who are you?" Before we left Eric bought me a new camera. We thought we had the right memory card, but when we arrived at home we did not. Unfortunately, we never did get around to buying a card so these are the only pictures I have.

Kade in his santa outfit. Kyle had one too, but he was a little bit harder to photograph.

All of us had a wonderful time. Kade received what he really wanted from Santa (a Rocky the Robot Talking Truck) and several other gifts. Kyle liked his gifts too, but Kade unwrapped almost everything for him. maybe next year he will be more into opening his birthday and Christmas presents. After we arrived home our house seemed even more cluttered with toys. At least the boys really like them and play with them. Thanks to everyone making this a special Christmas for all of us, especially Kade and Kyle!!

Kyle's 1st Birthday

Kyle turned 1 in December. He had a wonderful birthday! He received a lot of fun gifts. Thank you to everyone that gave him a present! The picture with Kyle/tree and Kyle/high chair are from earlier that day before his party. We had people from my family come over for his party. When Kyle was opening his presents Kade, being the older brother, had to help Kyle open all of them (and help play with them). In a way it was helpful because Kyle didn't seem too interested in opening presents yet.

However, he loved eating his cake and made a complete mess. The lower right hand picture is of Kyle pushing his little cart. He loved to stand up and push it around. We thought it was too cute!

Kyle also took his first 4 or 5 steps at his party. Now he walks all around the house and can crawl up and down the stairs. We are so lucky to have such a fun, easy going, happy little boy in our house. Life would definitely be different without him. Kyle, we love you very much!!!!

Sweet Little Kyle

When I was babysitting one day I went to put all of the children down for their naps. I didn't really think Kyle was tired because he took a late morning nap. Therefore, I left him downstairs to play. When I came back downstairs this is the way I found him.

He actually grapped his blanket, laid down, and fell asleep. Such a precious, special moment (I don't know why, but for me it was)!
Sweet little Kyle!

Bellagio at Christmas!

One Saturday during December we decided to go to the Bellagio to see the Christmas decorations. The boys really liked it! Kyle was fine sitting in his stroller looking at everything! Kade was intrigued with the choo choo train. As it passed by us we could see ourselves on a T.V. monitor. We are excited to see what they do next!
