Baby Powder

I am writing this post mainly to let Connor know what kind of mischievious things he got into. It seems like ever since we got home from our vacation and started putting the Christmas stuff away our house has been a nuclear disaster. The other day when I was cleaning downstairs the boys were playing upstairs. Kade comes running down and tells me that Kyle locked Connor in the guest bedroom. I am thinking "great, just what we need". I have watched Eric open the door before when Connor has managed to lock himself in. It didn't look too hard! Well, I did everything and I still couldn't get the door open. Connor was crying so I told Kade and Kyle to get some cars and push them underneath the door. He was happy with that for a little while. I was relieved, but he had a bigger surprise for me.  Since I couldn't get the door open I called Jeff. Luckily he wasn't working that day.

Jeff came over and got the door open. I was shocked when we opened the door and saw what Connor had done to the room. For some reason there was a container of baby powder in the room. Now it was all over the floor and parts of the furniture. Have you ever seen the youtube video of the little boys throwing flour all over the kitchen? Well, that is what the room looked like. At the moment I didn't think anything of it. I was just happy that we got the door open and Connor was safe.

The next day I cleaned it all up. It didn't take as long as I thought it would to clean, but it sure was a pain. I think there is still baby powder stuck in the wood cracks. A few days later Kyle decided to lock Connor in the room again. I called Jeff to see what I needed to do, but he did not answered. I called Eric, in tears, wondering how to get the door unlocked. Somehow I got it unlocked and Connor was not in there for too long. Luckily this time there was nothing in there that he could destroy the room with! However, it left me in a pretty grumpy, not very happy mood the rest of the day. Part of the door knob is now off the door so nobody will get locked in again.
