Just to start off...I think Valentine's Day is the worst holiday ever invented. We should show love all year round instead of just once a year. Luckily 8 years ago, 2 days after a horrible Valentine's Day, I met Eric and we have come to where we are now. Having children has made this holiday a little bit more fun. They are always so exctied to get presents or just to be celebrating something. Since Kade is in preschool this year he put together some Valentine's for the students in his class. He was so excited to hand them out!!! I ordered some items online thinking they would arrive on Valentine's Day. When I talked to customer service they told me they wouldn't, so I went and bought the boys more items. The items I bought online ended up coming on Valentine's Day too. Here they are with some of their goodies. They have on their new shirts they received from Papa and Nana on Valentine's Day.
Connor didn't really pose well with his "goodies", but he received a stuffed puppy dog and a monkey jar.
Since I want to use their jars each year for Valentine's Day I made sure I ordered one for Cam for next year.
Of course they loved all the candy. Kyle kept saying "Happy Holiday". We kept telling him to say "Happy Valentine's Day". For dinner we left it simple. We went and bought heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's. Eric and I then sat down and watched the latest "Twilight" show. It wasn't a spectacular day, but it was nice and simple. Thanks to everyone that sent the boys Valentine's too!!! We hope everyone had a good day!!!
Oh, I almost forgot....when I picked up my incredible husband he had a little bag with Valentine's Day hearts on. it. It was a present for me :) He gave me a beautiful heart shaped necklace. On one side is a sparkley side and on the other side is a smaller heart with stripes in it. Eric might not get the reaction he wants, but I love everything he gives me and I am grateful for his thoughtfulness and appreciation.
Happy Valentine's Day!!!
